The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has revealed that it has surpassed 725 member companies globally. The latest companies to join the MMA include Wells Fargo Bank, the Central Office of Information and Visibility Mobile. MMA President and CEO Mike Wehrs says that member services and retention are key goals for the MMA in 2009.
“In today’s economy, it is imperative to demonstrate to members and potential members alike that guidelines, member services, strategic components and industry development are at the top of our list while we grow this association,” says Wehrs. “We are pleased with the growth of our global membership and believe that it will continue to develop throughout the year.”
As the MMA continues to grow, it says it will reinforce its strong global presence, ensuring that the mobile ecosystem evolves as the attention to consumer rights increases. The MMA is focused on member services, and will continue to provide educational content and regional events to the mobile marketing ecosystem and beyond.
As a part of the MMA educational initiative, the Mobile Marketing Forum programme for 2009 has been announced. It includes events in EMEA, Latin America, North America and Asia Pacific. There’s more information on this here.
