RelayStation has announced the launch of RelayVideo, which enables the marketing departments of clubs to send video up to 30 seconds in length to thousands of club members’ or supporters’ Smartphones simultaneously.
RelayVideo says the service will help clubs to provide fans with more dynamic content about their club and players. A football team, for example, could send out videos from the manager or key players on any number of topics of interest to supporters, such as new signings, club promotions and events, season ticket pricing and new kit in the club shop.
To use the service, the club simply records a video of up to 30 seconds on a camcorder or mobile phone and sends the video file to RelayStation, together with a list of mobile numbers for the video broadcast and instructions on when to send.
“RelayStation's voice and text broadcasting services are today bread and butter marketing tools for over 50 football and sports clubs in Britain alone and RelayVideo provides their marketing departments with a further tool to maximise outreach to fans,” says RelayStation Managing Director, Sharon Masyln.
RelayVideo will be showcased on RelayStation's stand at the upcoming Leaders in Football (LiF) event being held at Chelsea FC on 7 and 8 October. LiF is an independent international conference of 1,000 senior business leaders within the football and sports industry, providing a platform for them to network, share knowledge, ideas, and debate.
