Apple has confirmed that the 3G version of the iPad will be delivered to US customers who have pre-ordered the device on Friday, April 30. The 3G (+ wi-fi) iPad will be available in Apple retail stores the same day starting at 5pm.
The 3G/wi-fi iPads will sell for a suggested retail price of $629 (£410) for the 16GB version, $729 for the 32GB model, and $829 for the 64GB device. This is a $130 premium over the price of the equivalent wi-fi only model.
Apple says it will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders for iPad on May 10. The device goes on sale at the end of May in the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and Switzerland.
