As the last post before a Bank Holiday weekend, I’d normally use this one to tell you that this is it for a few days, because on Monday I’ll be on a beach somewhere with my suncream, and my kagool. And indeed I will, so it will be Tuesday before we are back slaving over a hot keyboard bringing you all the latest news.
But the next time you check in to Mobile Marketing magazine, you should notice something different, because this is the last post on the Typepad site that has served us so well these past five years.
As of around 7pm this evening, we’ll be on our shiny new site, which we’ve been working on for the last few months. It’s a little bit more interactive than this one, and will allow us to have a bit more fun with videos and podcasts and other such things. It also has dedicated sections for events and jobs, and you’ll be able to sign up to receive news alerts in your inbox.
Because of the vagaries of DNS propagation, you may see the new site minutes after we switch the domains over, or it could take a couple of hours, or in the worst case scenario, a couple of days. Either way, you should be seeing it by Tuesday morning when we start putting up stories again. If you’re not, send us an email and we’ll investigate.
Other than that, it’s business as usual really. We’ll continue to bring you all the latest news from the mobile marketing coalface, and we promise to carry on putting in the odd spelling mistake, posting the odd story without a headline, running the same story twice, one after the other, and all the other things that show we’re human.
The last five years doing the site have been a blast. Here’s to the next five.
