Pub chain Slug and Lettuce has partnered with mobile phone application Vouchercloud to launch its first mobile promotional vouchers for the iPhone and iPod touch.
The application enables customers to download digital vouchers based on their location. Redemption is easy, with the offer displayed on the handset’s screen. Customers select to accept the offer, show their unique redemption code to the waiting staff, and the discount is applied to the bill.
“The move to digital redemption creates a new communication link with our customers, delivering a compelling offer that is free to access” said Lisa Stoddart, Head of Online for Town & City Pub Company, which operates the lug & Lettuce chain. “The unique code enables us to track redemptions and evaluate our offers on a regular basis. The Vouchercloud content management system, which is self administered, also enables us to bring offers direct to both new and existing customers who are looking for deal in a flash – this opens up a whole new world of opportunity for us.”
